Booking, Payment & cancellation

Welcome to Ecuador! We’re excited to have you join us for your upcoming adventure. Our goal is to ensure that you have a memorable experience. Thank you for choosing El Day Tour, part of the SoySur Travel Group. We look forward to providing you with exceptional day tours! This document outlines the details of our booking, payment, and cancellation policies. These policies take effect as soon as you receive written confirmation of your booking or upon receipt of payment.

Booking Policy

To process your booking, we require complete information from each participant. By providing your details, you certify that all information is accurate. We are not responsible for any issues arising from omissions or inaccuracies related to your health or other significant details that could impact your experience. Once we receive your booking request, we will process it within 24 hours.

Payment Policy

Full payment is required to confirm your booking. Payments can be made through our websites (www.eldaytour.com, www.daytoursecuador.com, www.daytourecuador.com, www.eldaytourecuador.com) or by alternative methods as advised by our representatives. In exceptional cases and under specific conditions, we can accept full cash payments at our Quito office or on the day of the tour. Please consult with our representatives for more information. We will send you a booking confirmation with all necessary details once we receive full payment.

Change & Cancellation Policy

Changes by the Traveler

We understand that plans may change unexpectedly. Therefore, we offer the following options for rescheduling your tour:

  • Tours Operated by El Day Tour: You can reschedule your tour free of charge up to 24 hours (1 day) before the original start date. Please note that the new date is subject to availability and we cannot guarantee your preferred date. The first change of date is free; subsequent changes will incur a $25 administrative fee per booking.
  • Tours Operated for El Day Tour with a Partner: For tours operated by a partner, rescheduling is subject to the partner’s policies. You may request a change up to 96 hours (4 days) before the original start date. The new date will depend on the partner’s availability. Requests made within 96 hours prior to the tour start will be reviewed and may incur additional costs. The first change of date is free; subsequent changes will incur a $25 administrative fee per booking.

Cancellations by the Traveler

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

    • Tours Operated by El Day Tour:
      • 1 or more days before the tour: No cancellation fee; a refund will be issued minus a non-refundable 20% administrative fee per person.
      • Within 24 hours before the tour: 100% cancellation fee; no refund is provided.
      • No-show: 100% cancellation fee; no refund or date change is possible.

         

    • Tours Operated for El Day Tour with a Partner:
      • 15 or more days before the tour: No cancellation fee; a refund will be issued minus a non-refundable 20% administrative fee per person.
      • 14 to 5 days before the tour: 50% cancellation fee; a 50% refund will be provided.
      • 4 to 1 day before the tour: 100% cancellation fee; no refund is provided.
      • No-show: 100% cancellation fee; no refund or date change is possible.

Cancellation by El Day Tour

In the event that we must cancel your itinerary, whether operated directly by us or by one of our partners, due to unforeseen circumstances, we will first seek to provide a suitable alternative. 

If an acceptable alternative cannot be arranged, we will issue a refund for the amount paid using the original payment method. Please note that refunds for extraordinary and unforeseen situations may not be processed immediately. Unforeseen circumstances may include, but are not limited to, natural disasters (such as earthquakes or severe weather conditions), political instability, travel restrictions or border closures, or sudden operational issues beyond our control. We reserve the right to offer alternative forms of compensation, such as credit notes or partial refunds.
