P: ¿Cuánto dura el tour de un día en Mindo?
The tour lasts approximately 10 to 11 hours. We depart Quito at 07:00 AM and usually arrive back between 5:30 PM and 6:30 PM, making it a perfect full-day escape into nature.
P: ¿Qué distancia hay entre Mindo y Quito?
Mindo is located about 2 hours northwest of Quito. The drive is very scenic as you descend from the high Andes mountains into the lush, green Cloud Forest.
P: ¿El tour de un día a Mindo es adecuado para niños?
Yes! Mindo is a favorite for families. Children love seeing the hummingbirds up close and learning how chocolate is made. For the adventure park, the minimum age for zip lining is 6 years old.
P: ¿Se incluyen las comidas durante el tour?
Yes. We include a traditional Ecuadorian lunch (starter, main course, and drink). We also provide a light snack of tea and cookies during our first stop at the San Tadeo bird sanctuary.
P: ¿Qué debo llevar para el tour de un día en Mindo?
Since Mindo is a humid cloud forest, we recommend bringing mosquito repellent, a waterproof jacket, and comfortable walking shoes. If you want to swim in the waterfalls, don’t forget your swimsuit and a towel!

Mindo is beautiful year-round! Because it is a “cloud forest,” you should expect mist or light rain at any time, this is what keeps the forest so green. The temperatures are consistently warm and pleasant regardless of the month.

Mindo is world-famous for its biodiversity. You will see dozens of species of hummingbirds and other exotic tropical birds. If you are lucky, you might also spot colorful butterflies, orchids, and unique cloud forest mammals.
