Andes Mountain Drive

There are two pick up points for the Cotopaxi Horseback day tour:
07:15 AM from Plaza Foch OR 07:30 AM from Plaza San Blas.

We recommend taking a taxi to and from one of these pick-up/drop-off points.

We begin our journey with a scenic drive through the mountains, stopping in Machachi at an elevation of 2,945 meters (9,662 feet) to capture stunning photos of Ecuador’s breathtaking landscapes. At an altitude of 3,900 meters (12,795 feet), you’ll meet your local guide and saddle up for an exciting horseback ride. Enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the high Andes as you ride through these pristine areas.
