Mindo Day Tour

“The cloud forest is waiting. The birds are singing. And today, you can be part of it.”

Start and Pick Up

Today we will be visiting Mindo Cloud Forest.

There are two pick up points for the Mindo day tour:

  1. 07:00 AM – Plaza San Blas from Café Zular.
  2. 07:15 AM – Plaza Foch in front of Juan Valdez Café.

Please look for a white tour bus. The guide will be there with a list of names to check you in.

We recommend taking a taxi to and from one of these pick-up/drop-off points.

Drive to the Cloud Forest

Join us for an unforgettable tour as we leave Quito and drive through beautiful mountain landscapes on the way to the peaceful cloud forest of Mindo.

Butterfly Farm & Hummingbirds

Our first stop is the butterfly farm, where you can see Ecuador’s colorful butterflies up close. They fly among bright orchids and hummingbirds, all of them wonderful to photograph. This is one of the highlights of the day!

Nature Walk & Waterfall Swim
Next, we’ll enjoy a walk through nature with our guide explaining the flora and fauna of Mindo. We’ll hike to beautiful waterfalls and have the opportunity to take a dip in the clear pools or rivers.
Zip Line through the Treetops

For an adrenaline rush, we’ll soar through the canopy on an exciting zip line adventure. There are multiple zip lines, so you can experience the forest in a unique way!

Ecuadorian Lunch

We stop for lunch (included) at a local restaurant. You can enjoy Ecuadorian food and have time some to rest.

If you have any dietary restrictions or preferences, please let us know in advance. We will be happy to accommodate you.

Chocolate Factory

We’ll end our Mindo tour with a visit to a popular chocolate factory. Learn how chocolate is made and enjoy some delicious samples, a sweet way to finish a great day.

Return and Drop off

We will begin our return journey to Quito.

If you’re heading to another destination, we can drop you off along the way for public transport, or help arrange a private transfer (additional cost).

For those returning to Quito, we will arrive between 5:30 PM and 6:30 PM. Drop-off will be at the same locations as the pick-up points.
